Cook wins RSM Classic, earns Masters bid

(TSX / STATS) -- Austin Cook captured his first PGA Tour title by coasting to a four-stroke victory at the RSM Classic on Sunday in St. Simons Island, Ga.

The PGA Tour rookie closed his 3-under-par 67 on Sunday with a pair of birdies and finished 21-under 261 for the tournament at the Sea Island Club's Seaside Course.

The victory in the final official event of the calendar year gives the 26-year-old Cook exemptions into the Masters, the PGA Championship and the Players Championship next year.


Thompson fades as Jutanugarn wins finale

(TSX / STATS) -- Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand sank a 25-foot birdie putt on the last hole to capture the CME Group Tour Championship by one shot on Sunday in Naples, Fla.

Jutanugarn started her day with a bogey, but she made birdies on four of her last six holes to finish the fourth round with a 5-under 67 and a four-day total of 15-under-par 273 on the Tiburon Golf Club. Read More...

(TSX / STATS) -- Patton Kizzire withstood frequent weather delays and a strong challenge from Rickie Fowler to win the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico on Sunday, capping a 36-hole marathon.

Kizzire fired a 4-under 67 in the final round and edged Fowler by one stroke with a 19-under 265, capping a tournament that was delayed for nearly 7 1/2 hours because of inclement weather. Read More...

(TSX / STATS) -- Shanshan Feng reached No. 1 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings released Monday, becoming the first player from China, male or female, to sit at the top.

"It's the longest day in my life to wait for the update of the world ranking," Feng said Sunday after winning the Blue Bay LPGA on Saturday on Hainan Island, China. "When I finally see the Chinese flag on top of the ranking, I feel all the efforts over the past 18 years on golf is worth it.
